Historique :	Style baroque. Don de l'intendant Joseph Foucault à l'église des Carmes de Montauban vers 1679, cette chaire a été transportée à Saint-Jacques après la Révolution.

Précision_sur la representation :	L'abat-son porte une série d'angelots tenant un livre. Au sommet, supporté par une couronne de volutes, un ange joue de la trompette. Sous l'abat-son, la colombe du Saint-Esprit s'inscrit dans une couronne de laurier. Sur la cuve : quatre panneaux portant l'effigie des 4 évangélistes (bas-relief) sont séparés par les statuettes des 4 grands docteurs de l'Eglise d'Occident. En dessou, des cariatides engaînés s'intercalent avec des paquets de fruits. Le long de la rampe, des panneaux renferment les figures allégoriques des Vertus (bas-relief).
