Description :	La statue est en bois peint polychrome. Elle est présentée dans une niche en brique à fronton triangulaire.

Historique :	Cette statue a été trouvée dans la Garonne en 1875 par un tisserand de Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave, Monsieur Ferratge, qui la place dans une niche au-dessus de la porte d'entrée de sa maison. Cette statuette en bois polychrome est sans doute un élément d'un ensemble sculpté ou d'un groupe sculpté aujourd'hui disparu. Elle est stylistiquement datable du 16e siècle, sa polychromie date sans doute de son installation dans la niche qu'elle occupe actuellement. Elle est connue localement comme représentant sainte Catherine bien qu'il s'agisse d'une Vierge de l'Annonciation. Cette oeuvre a été donnée à la commune de Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave le 29 novembre 2001 sous réserve qu'elle demeure à cet emplacement.
